Tonight was a very special night. It was 5 years ago on this date that Don Berns passed away unexpectedly. David spent the first hour of tonight’s show reminiscing, sharing stories, and playing music that was meaningful to his friendship with Don. For the remaining hours of the program, David replayed some of Don’s own live shows from his too-short tenure at NYTheSpirit, including his very last recorded broadcast.

Thank you, David, for this very emotional and poignant Celebration of Don Berns.

Here is the list from 8-9:00 PM:

City Boy – The Violin
Conjure One feat. Sinead O’Connor – Tears From The Moon
Lorraine Segato – Times Like This
Moody Blues – Are You Sitting Comfortably?
Pink Floyd – Breathe (In The Air)
Pink Floyd – On The Run
Richard O’Brien & Rocky Horror Cast – Science Fiction/Double Feature
Rob Stuart – A Beautiful Thing
Roy Wood – On The Road Again (We’re)
Scissor Sisters – Invisible Light
Tom Robinson – Atmospherics: Listen To The Radio

Good night Don Berns, until we all meet up again.
