  1. Also, I didn’t realize there was a band called Ege Bam Yasi. It took me a little while to make the connection, but Ege Bamyasi (spelled slightly differently) is a seminal album by Krautrock band, Can. Its a Turkish phrase that literally means “Aegean okra,” which is on the cover of that album.

    I’m intrigued by the existence of a band that gives such a clear shout out to Can in its name (the band Spoon is another band that gives a shout out to Can in its name) and will look into hearing this band right now. 😀
